I'll tell you the mini-wsm is a beast and is the perfect size for the type of hunt camp we do. My buddy does the breakfast I do the dinner and we fend for ourselves during the day. Left over tri tip sandwiches were really good! All the breakfast meat came from a pig my buddy slaughtered, bacon was tasty, but not as tasty as mine!

I'll have to search for your bacon recipes. I'm seriously thinking about doing some this fall or winter. Maybe some buck board too since butts are so cheap right now.
Buck Board is our favorite. I have been using Pop's brine because it is so simple to use!

Bear it was great! Some beautiful country, mix of forest and desert.

Found the remains of two really old homesteads. Neat to poke around in looking for treasures. Wish It hadn't been raining so I could have captured a few more photos.

Somehow I missed this, and it would have been a real lose. Our camps are a little different, but they all mean the same. Its the sunrise, sunsets, the lack of electronics, the smoke in the air, and the sounds of the outdoors.

I quit bring my guns to camp over 10 years ago. I realized thats not why I was going anymore. I woould give my tags to buddies and I always got more than I could use. Course a swamp deer and an elk are like a rabbit and a horse....LOL I liked getting up and cooking breakfast, guys go to the stands, I would have coffee out on the dock and watch sunrise.

I do envy your tent and your weather. Looks like a beautiful trip Case. Does a soul good just to get out in nature.

You have my envy my friend. I really thank you for sharing.

Thanks Foam! One of the benefits of going hunting without a tag is still getting some of the game. Well that's when we are successful. I try and cook the breakfast too, but my buddy is pretty insistent on that one! Maybe a breakfast fatty would change his mind! Course I'd have to get up at bedtime to make that work with hunting schedules!

We have found that the tent is warmer than the camper with more elbow room, which is really nice when the weather gets grumpy. Real nice to stoke the stove drink some brews and play some cards.

We lucked out and didn't have cell service, that's something that is getting harder to get away from these days. Still have a few places I can get off to where no one can bug me!
