the 19th will be 13 days- my brine mix is a little different as I went with your bacon recipe, hey looks like time to buy another Butt for pulled Ham, gotta keep that bucket full...

Ill say this,,since I have joined SMF the meat we have been smoking with the new recipes we have learned is making a big difference in the taste of the meat.. it may not be picture perfect just yet but the taste is there and has been a improvement over our old techniques...

Dang, I thought I already commented on this, but I didn't. Is there one real similar??

Looks Awesome, Todd, and I know it tastes even better than it looks!!

Bear

Now but one question remains, way up at top you said Youngest Daughter and Oldest Grandson share a birthday.  Not knowing family size, is that picture further down a picture of a Mother and her son or a boy and his Aunt?

I only ask because even though I am second youngest in my family, my daughter is oldest Grand Daughter to my parents.

Thanks Bear, there is probably getting to be around half a dozen threads of me making hams....lol, I keep making them over and over. I haven't had time for sausage or much else this summer or fall.

Aunt and Grandson.

They look absolutely fantastic!  Did you get a Qview of them all pulled or did they get devoured too quickly?

Thanks Pops! There were 14 people that had to smell the resting hams the entire time they were opening birthday presents. I pulled 1 of the hams on a nice cutting board and just laid the tongs next to it. No time for any more pictures. Thanks again for sharing your family brine recipe my family loves it!
