YES!!!  Got here today, and I assembled it, burned it in, and proceeded to cook about 3 pounds of bacon and then some chicken wings...

And yes, it did happen...and here are the pics to prove it.  LOL......

The delivered grill....

Unpacked, and ready for assembly....

Finished assembly....

Cooking wings and bacon....

Chicken wings done....

I put together a video of the assembly and burn-in that I will try to upload later....

Looks real fine....will be interested to get your opinions on 'smoky' tastes or not...and your overall general opinion of the unit. I'm assuming you took advantage of the 24 months same as cash? Any input on that aspect....ez, hard, PITA ?? I'm torn between this one and a Yoder for a LOT more bucks but made in the USA. I looked at a Green Mountain in a farm/ranch supply here and decided against it at that price...seemed flimsy at best to me for 750 bucks. Again, my opinion only there...I understand they do a fine job on the grub......Willie

As far as the unit goes, I was VERY impressed with the build quality of the unit.  Very well constructed, and EXTREMELY easy to assemble.  The barrel and hopper come pre-assembled...that makes a big difference!

I did take advantage of the same as cash offer.  You can do 6 months, 12 months, 18 months or 24 months (If I recall)...I went with the 12 months.  The one caveat to the same as cash deal is that if you go more than 6 months there is a servicing fee.  It's not a huge amount, but it is there...for 12 months, mine was 49.95.

As far as getting the financing, that was real easy...I just called them up, told them what I wanted to do, and they ran me through the system and I was approved in about 2 minutes.  Real easy....

Now as to the smoky taste, I will have to get back to you on that one.  The bacon and wings I cooked last night were very good.  A hint of smoke taste, but not overpowering.  I am using the premium hardwood pellet blend at the moment, but there seemed to be a reasonable amount of smoke taste with them.

Once I do a long smoke/cook, I will have a better idea about the smokiness....

Just for the record, my decision also came down to the RecTec or the GMG.  The easy financing was what sold me on the Rec Tec......
