Just put my first butt in the smoker. Need some help please. How much wood should I use? What intervals should I add more wood?

A palm full of chips at a time is plenty. as long as you can smell the smoke you are smoking , That said , when i used chips, i was adding a palm full every 45 min or so.

Check into the AMNPS. You can get 8 - 10 hrs of smoke from one fill.

So do you keep smoking for the whole cook time or just the first few hours. I have an AMNPS but it would always burn out even with chip loader halfway out so I stopped using it for now.
