I am a beginning smoker and I am thinking about getting a propane smoker that could maybe do cold smoking as well.

The ones I'm considering are:

1. Masterbuilt 7-in-1: smokes, deep fries, works with charcoal or gas

2. Big Easy 3-in-1 Smoker/Roaster/Infrared Grill

3. Any other model

4. Just get a regular gas grill

5. Forget gas-go with charcoal or electric

On one hand, gas could be easier than charcoal or electric, but I'm worried about the fumes from gas, leaks in the gas lines and propane tank, and cleaning out venturis not only for spiders and their webs, but in Mississippi where I live, mosquitoes and their eggs.

I'm with ya I can't decide what I want either!! I'm thinking master built GS40 or a landmann. I have done nothing but read read read reviews, mods ect. Still can't decide.

I own a Smoke Vault 24"....and can cold smoke....and do anything with it.

Got a tube smoke generator from Todd. Cheese....sausages....what ever I want.
