Hi there folks!

I'm Brian and have been reading post from SMF for a while now and finally decided to become a member. It seemed that anytime I had a question, I was able to answer it looking through the post here...much appreciated I might add. I have been cooking low and slow for about 5 years now and just moved (as of this past weekend)  to a REC TEC Pellet Grill. Before that, i cooked on an ECB and Smokey Mountain vertical water smoker and decided it was time for an upgrade! I always say that you can never have too many hobbies (as much as the old lady might disagree). I'm into BBQ, Fishing, Hunting, Camping, Dirt Biking, Shooting, Reloading, Metal Detecting, Prospecting and anything that sounds like it might be fun!

I live in Southern California (around Disneyland) and am looking forward to learning from others as well as providing help where i can.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard Brian!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Congrats on the new Rec Tec...I have one of those pits too, and like it a lot.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

Also, if you're interested, stop in and join our Pellet Smokers Group:  http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/33/pellet-smokers-group

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per TulsaJeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Kat
