First RF smoker

Building my first RF smoker. Need a few ideas for latches on the fire box. Was thinking of doing 6 inch thick wall pipe from fire box to the CC. Then 4 inch for the exhaust. My fire box is 18" x 18". Here are a few pictures of what I have. I am open to all suggestions. Thanks a lot. [IMG]

McMaster has great hardware. The shipping is super fast too. Clamps work great. Go with a 4 inch

Did some work today on the bbq. Was able to get my first fire started. Was able to get it about 600 degrees and burnt some nasty stuff out if the CC. Hoping to get some meat on it this weekend. Then ready for paint in the next few weeks. What does everyone think.

Just so you know, you can load multiple photos to one post....  Hold the control key, click on the picture links, click OK or SEND or whatever the prompt says.....

Smoke something up before paint....   Gotta have pics of smoked food you know.....
