Good Morning everyone

I have a Masterbuilt 40" smoker I went to go and plug it in and it has NO power,  I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had the same problem, and how they fixed it.  If its easy we can do it ourselves.  Any thoughts

I have to assume the outlet is good and you tested it with a Hairdryer or something? I Have an MES but never had this issue except the time I found the Ground Fault Outlet had tripped. There should be more help out there...JJ

I had just purchased a MES side smoker last week, plugged it in and, no power.  What's the American consumer to do, why finish what the Chinese didn't do that's what!  Took it apart and found one wire to the power switch laying loose and not connected.  Plugged in the wire and I was in business.

Shoddy assembly is getting to be the norm on a lot of products, not just Masterbuilt.  This may or may not be your problem.

As Chef Jimmy J said, check the outlet and if good, I would return the unit for raplacement and not even mess with it.

Good luck!

Tom
