I'm Marc, from North East Wisconsin, ok, more like North Central East Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay.  I haven't done much smoking of meat yet, made about 25lb's of venision summer sausauge with liquid smoke in my wifes oven, She has since banned me from using the oven, tasted ok, but I've got to get me something for the outside.

I like to hunt deer, so that is where I wanted to start, but then move onto other meats, ect.....

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Would you mind updating your profile to show the other SMF members where you are located?  Might meet some neighbors!

I know why she banned you from the Kitchen.....Liquid Smoke!  Get some real smoke of them and it will be much better!  Just saying!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Welcome to the forum from a neighbor, over in Kaukauna.  This is a great forum, there's a ton to learn from here.  It's really helped me learn different things and keep coming up with new ideas.  Have fun.

Welcome to the SMF family, Marc! Hope you enjoy all the great shared info from all these fine folks I respectfully call my brothers and sisters in the world of outdoor cooking. Anytime you need to resolve an issue or just have some nagging little question, just give a shout. Don't forget to let everyone know about your successes and failures, as each can offer lessons to be learned from, and that is why we're all here...learn and pass on what we learned.
