Too Much Salt

I am smoking a pair of pork butts tomorrow and have definitely used too much salt in my rub. Should I be worried? Is it going to ruin my meat?  Can I fix it?


Any help is appreciated.

How do you know you used too much salt....

I would just wash it off  with some ice cold water and start again with some fresh rub. How long has it been rubbed down?
