Hello everyone!  I was a certified cook for about 10 years, but I traded in my chef's coat for a lab coat.  So four years ago, I finally got my own place where I can get an outdoor grill because the art form known as cooking is in my blood.  Got a Kenmore 3 burner propane grill that I know like the back of my hand.  Its a bit challenging for BBQ (I've cooked black baby backs as proof)  Also I recently acquired a 25-30 year old little chief.  My smoked almonds were delicious!

I have lots of plans for that pair.

Also, I'm growing interest in making smoked sausage.  Or my own smoked or non smoked hotdog recipe I'm dying to try, yummy.  (I eat a lot of hotdogs and I know I can make them better than most, but not Nathans).

I've been reading a lot of the forums here lately and decided to join.  Everyone here seems friendly and knowledgeable as I have learned a lot already from you.

Cheers, Mike

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
