Hi Everyone,

My name is Glen, I am from St. Louis MO

I have been smoking for a few years now...but that was on a $30 bullet smoker i got at a garage sale after college.  Now I bought a Masterbuilt smoker, so I am ready to get some serious smokin going!

Hopefully today i will be breaking it in to do my first smoke in the new smoker..along with my Cherry/Blueberry Chipolte BBQ sauce, should be good eats!  I will definitely post pictures

Today we tried our first ribs in the new smoker.  Some things turned out..but the problem that we have had was the dry rub...It ended up a little dark and crisp.  What is the best way to counter it?

The flavor, tenderness and juicyness was all there, its just the rub that was the issue.

One thing we did not do is wrap up the ribs halfway through cooking..is that the reason?
