So I have a grinder, stuffer, german sausage kit and an amps on the way.
I read the directions on the sausage kit. It doesn't say anything about blooming or putting the sausage in water after the smoke.
My question are:
Why do you put the sausage in water after smoking?
What is blooming and what's its purpose?
I'm hoping to make the sausage next weekend. Thanks for the help.
