Hello from East of Dallas

Howdy! An Aggie here from just east of Dallas. Been BBQ for years. Started with a cookshack electric then had Klose make me a pit 4 years ago. Have an XL Big Green Egg and just recently bought a Yoder pellet fed smoker to try and make my life a little easier. Time is my biggest limitation. I do pretty good according to my guests given i don't cook as much as I would like too. I also love to cook Italian and make my own pasta as well as deserts and particularly pies. I devote most of my time to my three young sons and their pursuits. Hoping to learn a lot here and up my game. I am rarely happy with my own product.

Welcome Mr.Scott. Glad you found us and hope you come to call us Family and this Home for all your BBQ needs .

 

You have had a lot of nice Smokers and surely , picked up some tips , through you ventures , which we would find interesting. Join in anytime and share your knowledge and we can help you if you need.

 

Limited time, Oh,no , gotta plan time to start training your Sons to carry the Torch after you.biggrin.gif.

 

You must be in Mesquiteicon_question.gif. I miss doing the Rodeos there , had fun and made a little money now and then with my Roping, rode Bulls but couldn't break 8 ...

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions Post it
and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is because their
are so many different ways to make great Q We all have our own taste.

Guys thanks for the welcome. I live further east in Rockwall County. My oldest boy likes to cook. My limited time is due to my kids and their numerous activities. Actually headed to the Mesquite Rodeo this weekend. Look forward to it every year.

Welcome aboard!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your contributions on the forums.
