My name is Bil, I live in Ann Arbor, MI, USA. I may be new to this site, but not new to grilling and BBQ. My current rig is a Char-Griller Duo with side burner and smoker box. I have been using this rig for about six years, and I still love it though it is getting pretty beat up. I cook outdoors nearly every day during the warm weather months and my poor grill goes uncovered most of the summer. I cook pretty much everything on it, all summer long. I use the gas side primarily for "baking" and roasting, and the charcoal side for everything else. Nothing like good BBQ!
I found this site while looking for ideas to modify my trusty Char-Griller for smoking sausage links. I don't want sausage link that are flat on one side from laying on the grill. I would like to be able to hang them to smoke, so I get nice, plump links. I found a wealth of information, but not exactly what I was looking for (at least not yet). I will post in the appropriate area later. Hopefully others have had this same issue and have some creative ideas as to how to rig up sausage hooks in the Char-Griller.
