Hey Everyone,

It has been quite a few months since I have been on, and also have been smoking.  Working full time and going to school full time has taking up majority of my schedule.  However the weekends are starting to get cooler, and I have finally bit the bullet got a Cyber Q temperature control system.

I figure to start kicking up my smoking operation more in the next few months, and figured I would completely redo my pork butt.  I will be smoking a shoulder this weekend for a taste test.  I figure if I can get the cheaper pork to taste great, can only imagine if I did a Boston Butt.

If the taste test turns out right, then that will be what I will use at my birthday cookout next weekend.  Will be doing a brisket also next weekend.

I've already made my dry rub, which probably can do about 2 or 3 butts.  This evening I will get the canopy up, and the smoker going.  I'll have pics up, as well my first experience with the Cyber Q.  I did get the wifi model (I work in IT, I could pass it up).  I actually got it setup with the wireless network at the house.

The only snag I have ran into is the email functionality which unless you are technically inclined, call someone you know that is, offer them some bourbon and a cigar, and get it done.
