I go down for the races every year, last year I started bringing my smoker along. Menu this year is pulled pork, fatties, deer roast, and maybe a yard bird. Heading out after work tomorrow. I'll try to post more pics as the weekend progresses, as long as I remember. ( there is going to be a couple adult beverages consumed ) Did some prep work tonight.
Breakfast fattie : bob Evans hot, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, eggs, and pepper jack cheese.

9# butt all rubbed.

Sweet! Hey David, fellow NASCAR fan here! I'm going to the September race at NH. What sort of BBQ rig did you bring along to the race? Are you guys RV-ing? Have fun!

I bring my MF propane smoker along. We rough it out in tents for the weekend.

It must be killing him to sit out this weekend. He loves the road courses. I say he misses 2 races tops. And how is talking about "Smoke" hijacking a smoking thread ( LOL )

Looks like great weather for "The Glen" this weekend, from what I can see. One of these years, I'm gonna have to pack up and come over for the weekend. Looks like great fun! And tents are cool, Although I have spent more time in tents than I care to discuss. I would probably have to at least have a pop-up.(semi-roughing!)

My bet would be, at best, 4 races. More likely to be 5-6. And, that's with no complications. With complications, who knows. In any event, he's out of the Chase.

I prefer Daytona but have been to Atlanta.  Going out to Fort Wilderness in October. Hopefully Disney wont mind me bringing my ECB.

Id love to be able to go to Bristol some day. And Indy would be cool too. I would like to visit all the tracks haha.. I wish

Best race I've been to so far... for me, sitting between 3+4 was best, reason being ... when you sit at the start/finish line you have to keep turning your head back and forth ( do that about a 1000 times in 3 hrs)... so, sit'n in the corner everything's straight out in front of ya... my partner at work is going up in a couple of weeks... If there's any way you could make it... 'YOU SHOULD"... Campground was a blast...

   ...... food looks awesome

I bet Bristol at night would be a blast.
Bristol night is a blast.  I went last year.  I'm kind of spoiled though, my wife works for a company that sells a lot of novelty items to the tracks and she works with some of the trailers so I get to tag along to some of the races she goes to.  She'll be in Michigan next weekend, possibly Chicago.  We plan on going to Homestead for our anniversary and so I can see Kenseth win his 2nd championship!

Blaster.. I hate to burst your bubble... but I'll be in Homestead as well watching Bowyer win his first championship... ...

maybe we'll see each other there

Sorry Boys & Girls, when you go to Homestead, Jimmie Johnston will have the title wrapped up, can you say Six Pack?

HA HAAAAA... just purchased my Homestead package last night... camping and 2- 3 day tickets... the only thing I didn't like about Homestead last year was... everybody was points racing... DaHell with that... "lets get after it boys" ... will be fun watching Clint win the championship live...

a fellow employee is leaving Monday for Bristol.... lucky mucker....
