Hi my name is Jim. My wife got a Brinkman Gourmet smoker from work for her anniversary there. We've always enjoyed going to BBQ places so I decided to open it up put it together and smoke some meat. I started off with a Boston Butt and some ribs well the butt turned out ok and the ribs were pretty terrible. I found this website a few weeks ago and have been trying some different stuff and this past weekend I did two Boston butts and two racks of St Louis style ribs and they were a huge hit with the family. My wife and I have really enjoyed smoking together and trying different stuff we find on this website. We are planning on getting a better smoker now since the Brinkman is not a great smoker and is very difficult to keep steady temps. We've looked at the WMS in the 18 & 22.
