Got the refurb started on OLD Smokey last week. Cleaned up all the rust and ugly spots, repainted and repaired a very leaky door when the urge to smoke overcame us.
One Boston Butt brined for 2 hours, and rubbed with Jeff's Rub, smoked for 4 hours Wrapped with grape jelly glaze for 4 more hours at 225 deg. 3 racks of Spare ribs rubbed with Jeff's Rub, glazed with Jeff's sauce using 3-2-1 method at 225 deg.
Fantastic help from the forum to get awesome tasting, tender ribs on my first try along with something new for tried and true pork butt.
