Tried smoking a batch of spare ribs in my new "Pellet Pro" Smoker. I made a brine of kosher salt, brown sugar and cherry cola and let the ribs soak for 24 hours. Removed from brine dried them off and coated them with a dry rub of Onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, sweet paprika, honey and dark brown sugar. Let them sit in the rub overnight. Smoked them in hickory & cherry wood at 225 for 5 hours. Basted them with soy sauce and honey every 20 minutes during the last hour. Check out that glaze! By far the best ribs I have ever made. Added a side of Minnesota wild rice with mushrooms & almonds and I was in heaven. The family loved it too...no leftovers!
