I have that same ghost pepper sauce. Great flavor....a little dab will do ya! Lol

Thanks for the info on the iGrill. Trying to decide between that and the Maverick 732.

Looks awesome - enjoy smoking!

The igrill is cool and I tested both internal probes and they were within a few degrees in the boil test. I tried to use the external probe yesterday and it was reading like 40 degrees higher than the mes was reading. I don't know if my mes is off, or that probe is off.

Better than even chance its the mes They are notorious for being way off. I had to set mine to about 215 to get to 250 cooking temp. And masterbuilt is well aware of it.

You know I've read that around here geerock. It's a shame that they don't care enough to fix it. Anyone know if I can put the external probe into the water for the boil test? It's about all I can think of to figure out if its working and trying to see just how far off my mes is.

Yeah you can just dip the tip in boiling water and see what you get. A maverick 732 and an AMAZN smoke tray wilk give you a true set and forget smoker.

I have the amazn and had it go out on me two of the three times I used it. So still figuring it out I guess. I bought the igrill over the maverick so hopefully it performs well.

Finally checked out this thread hillbilly, nice job with all the pics. I wanted to grab those stuffed jalapeno's right off my computer screen.

A couple things:

1.) To change the woodchip pic/avatar, go to "My Profile" at the top of the page, the go to your pic and click underneath it where it says "Replace Avatar".

2.)  Also, when get a chance, pop on over to the MI members group and join up! Trying to keep that MI pride strong! http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/27/michigan-members-group

3.) Lastly, we are having a MI gathering this coming Saturday. Here's the link if you're interested.  http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/144211/michigan-q-gathering/20#post_1034511

I have both the iGrill and the Mav732 (currently collecting dust). I have had no issues with the iGrill. Even left it out in the sprinklers a couple times now. Though not advertised as waterproof, it seems to handle the water fine. It is my go to therm and I haven't had any problems. For testing you can dip the tip into boiling water or ice water to check. All three of mine were spot on out of the box.

I'll test out the external probe with the boil test dirtsailor. Seems like everyone who has an mes has temp issues. Kinda crappy that this issue hasn't been fixed at the factory so we don't have to deal with it.

Yeah that problem seems to be an issue with most stick therms on all smokers! You would think though that an electric would be dialed in. Especially since with after market parts on can make temp controller that is super accurate and programmable. My GOSM propane smokers therm was 30* off out of the box. It doesn't even work anymore!

I wish that they would make these digitalis with probes that can do higher temps than 400* I do a bunch of higher temp cooks where that would be nice. For those I have to rely on good old portable oven therms.
