Greetings from the land of 72*, and sunny...

         I'm speaking of course about San Diego, Ca. where the weather forecast is so predictable they print it on t-shirts. It is the perfect grilling/smoking weather year 'round.

    Although I am new to smoking, I am eager. I Got my very first smoker on the 4th of July,

an electric Char-Broil "Big Easy" smoker/roaster, which I'm sure is probably considered the "Yugo" of smokers, but for my situation ( single, apt. living, and not much outdoor space) it is a great starter-Q. I do have some issues w/ the BE but I take them up in the proper forum as I plan to get in on as many threads as I can. Not that I'm a bad cook/Qer, just I tend to come on heavy-handed. To strong a rub, to long a brine, and occasionally to much time. I guess that is why we are all here, to learn and teach. So you can just consider me a sponge....Bob-b-que

The search bar at top is the greatest tool around here. Youll will only learn as mucb as you want...(or like me how much time I have to just read threads.). so ... get to it ;)hehe

And ask your questions about your modfications in the proper. Section. .and there are plenty im sure that have your style smoker that will be glad to help.

Howdee Howdee Bob, There is a 12 step program for heavy handed...... starting with verbal abuse and ending in electro-shock. LOL Welcome man, its a great place to experience the joy of smoking.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions Post it
and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is because their
are so many different ways to make great Q We all have our own taste.

You should sign up for Jeff's Free 5 day E-Course, and it's great!  This is chock full of great information....no matter what your experience level might be!

Welcome to the forums, Bob!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  When you can't find the answer you're looking for, just ask and someone here will have the answer.
