Names Brian and I'm the son of smokinhusker. My mom bought my master built electric smoker for me as a Christmas present last year so I've been smoking some stuff here and there. Done some cold smoking of cheese and hard boiled eggs. I've recently bought a house in fredricktown so I'm setting up my smoker to have a area of the garage to have my hobby.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! BTW-----Your Mom Rocks!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Kat

Hi Brian, welcome aboard!  You're the first "legacy" I can remember joining up.  Congrats on joining our little addiction.  And the Daves' are poking a little fun, but you probably already know how well-thought-of your fine mother is here.  This is the best place I know to share ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  Just holler when you have questions, and someone here will have the answer.

Trust me if i have any questions i will surely ask and use the search bar at the top. I also refer to my mom if i also have question. Ive already smoked a half brisket and a pork butt. Both turned out awesome i have pix which i will post here at some point. Went to a little grocery store here in town and picked up a 7 lb pork loin for 1.99 a lb. So my mom gave me an idea to make bacon so be my thing to do this weekend .
