Best Vacuum Sealer

Hey, I'm looking for a decent vacuum sealer but am kind of clueless.


Heres the reallllly tricky part, I need a super durable one. I'm planning on sealing about 2000 bags over the course of a few weeks. Cost is kind of a issue but my max is around 500 dollars. I don't need any fancy features, but I really need it to last until I can finish all the bags. I was looking at the vacmaster 260 pro, and maybe a few spare sealing strips. Any ideas how long a strip lasts? and what about doing it back to back with no breaks?

g4, morning and welcome to the forum.....   Lisa will help you..... You may even get a discount being a member of this forum.....


Give the vacuum chamber a look....  the bags for it are much cheaper than bags for a bag sealer..   could pay for itself in a short time...  And I believe the chamber sealer can vac-seal wet foods also..  that's something the bag sealers don't do well.....

I have an Ary VP215C which can be had for about double your budget.  It works very, very well.  I love mine.


Ary makes a VP112 in your price range, but it has loads of plastic.  No experience using it.


I think you will be disappointed with any channel bag sealer.  And if you added up the bag cost, you would probalby be better off with the chamber sealer.


On my 215C, my strip has lasted about 5 years, and I do about 300 pounds of seafood, 200 pounds of big game, and 300 pounds of waterfowl in it a year.  So maybe 4-500 bags a year.  You can destroy them quick by turning them up too high, but if they are set right, they should work for a long time, more than 2000 seals.
