Hey!!! New to the forums and smoking in general. I travel to texas often and fell in love with the BBQ. I also started watching a lot of BBQ pit masters and thought if those guys can do it so can I.
I started smoking ribs on my Blue Ember grill. Needless to say I couldn't get a good smoke mostly due to my lack of knowledge about the process. One of the most important which I've found out reading forums is NEVER trust the stock temp gage.
Anyway I've since bought a masterbuild propane smoker. I'm using the cast iron mod and plan on sealing the doors with oven seal.
