First crack at reverse seared smoked rib eyes. Used a mix of cherry and apple wood.

marinated overnight in roasted garlic oil, herb oil, sliced garlic and cracked black pepper.

rubbed down first

into a ziplock to marinate over night

on to smoke. cracked some sea salt onto it when it went on

after smoking and a quick sear, rested for 5 mins

plated. grilled up some baby zucchini I got at the farmers market as well.

interior shot... cooked beautifully!!!

also made a Asian noodle salad to go with dinner. SO tasty!

lunch today with left over rib eye. added a couple sliced grilled baby zucchini as well

Thanks everyone!

Haha sorry, I can't give away the sauce I made for it, being as I cook for a living I tend to keep things a secret, but the salad part consists of

Chow mein Noodles
Carrot
Celery
Red onion
Candied pecans
Grilled zucchini
Grape tomatoes
Cilantro
Sesame seeds
Ginger
Garlic

What tempt and how long did you smoke them? I never can get a steak to turn out good on the smoker.

Hour and twenty mins. At 180-190. Quick sear after. Time for smoking will depend on thickness of the steak as well.

Try this for a Asian slaw, 2 tbl ginger, 1 tbl garlic, 1 tbl galangal ( ignore this if you do not have an Asian super mkt, , sauté for a bit till starts browning up, then add 2 or 3 tbl Splenda brown sugar, 4 or 5 tbl soy sauce, 4 or 5 tbl white wine, sauté for a few more min and remove from heat add a, tsp sesame oil, 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil. Whisk up and add to Asian slaw or cold noodles.
