Just picked up Meadowcreek TS60

Hi everyone, I just got home from picking up my first reverse flow smoker. It's a slightly used Meadowcreek TS60 that I got for $1300.00 cash. Had the optional stainless work shelf too. I'm so psyched to fire it up but the rain isn't helping. It's beautifully seasoned already so I'll post some pics tomorrow when I fire it up. Man this thing is well made in every way. Anyone have a similar unit to share a tip or two with a rookie?

I'm new to the forum setup and don't know how to post pics yet. I do want to show what I've got and am reading the tutorial now on how to do it properly. This is a great site. Thanks again. Let me hear from some meadowcreek cookers!!!! Do we love our rigs or what??!!?? I'm new to the game of reverse flow and think I've come across a little beauty with this TS60. Is it too small? Other than that its built tough as heck. Pics soon, I promise.

Now....if you are using a cell phone or an IPad to post pictures...you will need to go to SMF's main page.  Scroll to the bottom and click the mobile setting and that will help too.

I have a Meadow Creek TS250 that I bought last year and love it. They are like you said, built very well. I cooked all winter long with it and the temps were down to 20F and it held the temps just fine. It did burn more wood but when up to temp it ran just like it would when it was 80 out. So far I have cooked many things on my rig including pork ribs, pork loin, turkey, chicken and one of my favorite meatloaf. While I am cooking I will also toss in some potatoes wrapped in foil or corn with husk on. You will enjoy yours !!
