I am very excited to be a part of this forum. I have gotten the bbq smoking bug and was bit hard and suffering from a serious infection. I decided this past winter to build my own smoker. My dad who has been cooking on a Big Green Egg for a few years got me started, he was complaining that it was too small and I took it upon myself to make one that would handle enough for competitions or large parties. We have done a few competitions, both backyard and pro and finished middle of the pack. We plan on practicing a lot over this coming winter and hit it hard in the spring. We got some guys together and formed a team and thouroughly enjoy practice!
