to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

You should sign up for Jeff's Free 5 day E-Course, and it's great!  This is chock full of great information....no matter what your experience level might be!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff in Rule #11. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Just joined from Midlothian TEXAS. How do I start a post or conversation, as I haven’t been in a forum before?
Thanks

Hey Duckie...sorry I didn’t respond quicker, I just saw your question.

First off, welcome aboard! Hope you get as much enjoyment and benefit from these forums as I have over the years.

Since you responded in this thread, I know you already figured that part out. To start a new thread, simply open the main sub forum in whatever subject you want start a conversation in, then look for the red button near the top that says “Post New Thread”. That’ll open a dashboard that allows you to give your thread a title, and a dialogue box where you’ll be able write the thread’s first post...then simply click the red “create thread” box near the bottom. Posting pics or files as attachments to your posts gets a bit more complicated (although still pretty easy), but that’ll be enough to get you started...

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply and I enjoy seeing what others are doing.
So many things to cook and so little time!
I’m never too old to learn
