Hi all. Great site! I am brand new to smoking. I picked up a Master Forge gas smoker a few weeks ago. I have done a couple whole chickens and ribs in it. I have been really pleased with the results. I see most use internal temp as their guide. I need a good IT thermometer if that's the case. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help you've already given me!

welcome1.gifto SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! I agree with Mule....the Mav is the best therm I have used to date. Here is a link to Todd's site.  He is a Sponsor and a member here. http://www.amazenproducts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MAVET-732

Here is just a bit of New Member information....just a little FYI. If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do. Some of the rules are new and others need to be read by all members.  Most are just pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff (The Owner of SMF) in Rule #11.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
