Had the wife get 5# of Country style ribs. One is shoulder and one loin. Put it all together bout half hour ago. Be firing up the WSM bout 3 or so. My frugel wife got diet cherry Dr Thunder. Hope its the same. Don't drink the stuff. So any variations to Jeffs recipe?  I'm gonna do it straight up and will definitly wrap. Thanks, Dave

Waiting for  temp to go down Need to start fire earlier. Not used to WSM yet. So here something to look at. Ribs taken out of cherry Dr Pepper after 6hrs or so. Look like cherry don't they?

Rubbed and ready!

Yum. Picked this morning with seasoning from last winters bacon.

I hope it came out ok. But I don't think "diet" would work. It is the sugar and acids in the soda that works it's magic on the meat.

Same here. Mow paths 54" cut. Gonna do a little smaller paths yhis fall. Wife made pie. Sacrifice arms and legs on thorns, like morels woth every bite and scratch.

I had some pulled pork once that was injected with regular Dr. Pepper.  I thought it was great but I love Dr. Pepper.  I agree with others, I think I would use regular instead of diet.
