I live in SE Wisconsin currently after being born and raised in SE Iowa. I love to grill any time of the year, but I am pretty green when it comes to smoking meats, so any beginner info/advice/tricks of the trade are always appreciated!
I am currently in the process of building my first smoker and so far its off to a solid start! I am using a stainless steel combine muffler as my smoker itself. The plan currently is to make it an electric smoker and utilize an arduino board to read in info from a few temp. sensors and subsequently turn the heating element on/off to control the heat. I've got a long ways to go, but I pretty excited about it! Thanks!
