Hello from Georgia

Hello new member and new to smoking as well. I am located in Georgia and recently purchased a new 30 inch electric Masterbuilt Smokehouse Smoker. I have only had a chance to use it two times and have had mixed results. I have watched tons of videos and tried to learn from what was in the videos. I can say that just as there are numerous different smokers there are also numerous opinions on how to smoke different meats. So I think all in all it will just be a learning game for me. My biggest problem mistake thus far was trying to smoke too much and too many different types of meats at once. So...lesson learned. I am here looking and reading also trying to pick up some pointers. I read somewhere where on of the best things for me to look into is some type of box that you burn pellets in where the smoke lasts a lot longer and is more set and forget. Is this true? Any info or tips or whatever will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to SMF Steven.   The box you mention can be found here.  http://www.amazenproducts.com/    it's the Amazin Pellet Tray.  A must have if you ask my opinion.    Type AMNPS in the search box and you'll find a wealth of resources to learn about them.
