I'm Wayne from Mooresville, NC. I have been drag racing for several years but learned I also enjoy cooking, especially anything smoker related. I started with a 2nd hand Weber and then purchased a propane vertical smoker (I know that's like cheating....lol) and really enjoy trying new recipes and techniques. I have lurked multiple threads here and will now be looking for advice and possibly posting a build thread of a reverse flow smoker.I have been working/fabricating on cars for 20 years and have spent the last 12 years in the gas turbine repair industry. I have descent fabricating knowledge and a good metal working skills.I'm sure I have a lot to learn and hopefully can get his beast built in a few weeks.

Thanks to everyone that posts and welcomes newbies like myself!

Happy Smoking!

Hello Wayne and welcome to the fun.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  The trial and error method works well.  We will try to help you keep the errors to a minimum since we already made them for you.  We look forward to your contributions.  Lookin forward to your build.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

I run a local heads up class called True Street. We run stock suspension and drag radials. I plan to post a couple car pictures shortly. Thanks for the warm welcome.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Nice Rides!!!!

If you didn't read the Terms of Service notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Rule #11......"Off Site Links are not allowed here at SMF" is something new. There are other simple guidelines for all of us to remember as we interact here.

If you need any help roaming around here in SMF....just give me a shout.  Happy to help any time!
