Brand new to your forum here folks but it looks great.  I stumbled upon it while reading up on the Masterbuilt 40" electric smoker.  I found a guy selling them for $199 and it seems like that is a great deal.  I have read up on a bunch of issues so far regarding this smoker but I am leaning towards getting one based on the price.  Are there many of you out there that are happy with the performance of this product?

$199 is an Awesome price!!!

I paid $349----Two years ago for my MES 40.

The newest model seems to have a few issues, but the one I got over two years ago is GREAT !!!

If that's the new model that's a very good price. If that's the old model THAT'S A GREAT PRICE!

$249-$399 is the going price. I think I paid $299 for my generation 1 unit. Post the model number and we will tell you which one it is.
