I have the Smoke Hollow 4 in 1, I completed all the mods that I read online. I'm using hickory wood chunks and charcoal. I can't seem to keep the temp up to 225. I have the damper on the firebox door cracked at about half and inch. If I open it anymore the wood flames up. How do I get the temp higher.

mine flames up almost the whole time and my meat turns out good, I just move my meat to the opposite side of the firebox..im fairly new to smoking so I don't know if this is the correct way, but that's how I do it

Build a big fire in the FB.... let it burn down to coals.... add small chunks during the smoke....   smoke basically on charcoal embers.....
