Has anyone tried to see of there is any difference between using the high temp silicone vs the felt type tape for sealing the cooking chamber/firebox on the Brinkmann Trailmaster?

Getting all my ducks in a row so when I get my BTLE I will be ready to do all of the mods ASAP.

Hi I used the high temp silicone on the firebox lid..For the cooking pit I used the 1/4" thick x 1/2" wide selfstick gasket tape..Haven't fire it up yet to see how good it works. The felt was easy to work with. The gasket tape came from BBQ Gasket Co.
