Did some ribs for my Daughter's 23rd birthday on Sunday.  Also...had some Polk Brand Sausage (Sam's Club)...and if you have not tried it....it's great!

This was 3 slabs of St Louis ribs...about 10.4 pounds worth.  Rubbed and ready for Witchy Woman!

WW was puffing away and up to temp.

Spritz time with apple juice and a close up.

This is what I use in my foil....plus a bit of Wickers when I close the foil up and head back to the smoker.

Taken out for the foil.

Ribs are done...and smell really good.

This sausage is the Bomb!

About 2 hours and they were done too.

A whole big ol' pan of ribs!

Baked beans with some jalaps and bell peppers from the garden.

Some pulled pork I did back in March...warmed up and ready for Lynn (Hubby)

Close up of a slice of ribs.

We had some salad and the Birthday Cream Cheese Pound Cake too.

Thanks for lookin' at my Cookin'!

All looks great. I picked my first Jalapeno today. Witchy Women did the job again.

Happy smoken.

I have some tomatoes that are still not turning and loads of jalapenos that are getting ready.  Thinking about making some green tomato salsa.  What do ya think David?

That sounds good. I have never done green tomato salsa. It sure is good tho. I keep looking at my tomatos and I think Pico da gio. I use it for a topping on alot of smoked or grilled meat during the summer. It won't be long now. I HOPE!

Happy smoken.

Green tomatoes? Fried you say? Heavens no, chow-chow! Heck you've even got the cabbage too. Big pot of beans with homemade bacon scraps and a jar of chow-chow. Only thing left is the cornbread. Are your cornbread plants barring yet?

You crack me up Foam!  don't have them quite ready yet....the corn has not tasseled yet....still just a bit over my knees but I am a shorty...but who knows....I may let some dry and make my own cornmeal!

Love Chow Chow....saw a recipe in the latest Food Network Mag and there was a cool recipe for the Salsa Verde that looked tempting to try. (just a fancy way of calling Chow Chow something new)

Now Miss Kat I recently saw a picture of you in your garden.  Your daughters 23 birthday??  You don't look old enough to have a 23 year old daughter.

Beautiful ribs Kat!!!!

My BDSE sauce is fantastic on ribs.  I thrown some in the foil with brown sugar, parkay, and honey!  Then glaze with the BDSE about 30 minutes before pulling off the smoker. Awesome.

Try it!

I asked if they wanted me to make sauce...which would have been yours BTW...and they said not this time.  BUT....July 6th for the pool party...heck yes...that goodness will be on the tables!

Glad you are back for a bit!
