Turkey still good??

I pulled a turkey out to thaw in the fridge on wed planned to have it sun it was all but almost thawed sat afternoon so I gave it a quick cold water bath in the sink less then a hour before putting it in the brine I had chilling in the fridge for a good hour or so..let it stay refrigerated in the brine till early early sun morning.. I was planning to attempt this recipe http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/turkey-brining-and-smoking so I had it air drying in the fridge well next thing ya know I run into a family emergency that had me out of town until today I pulled it out the minute I got home and got it on the cooker at about 3pm it's now 6pm and at almost 150 it was at 35 degrees when I put it on the cooker no foul smells or slime actually quite dry lol.. I know when in doubt throw out but I didn't really see any signs that should cause doubt? Any imput would be appreciated!!

Thanks for the imput I guess worst case I got health insurance!! Haha just wasn't sure cause I generally don't leave anything open air in the fridge

I was thinking like Mule... if you had no signs of spoilage , it should have been fine. It was at 35*F , so was out of the danger zone, had been brined and you rinsed it well , so ... did you rub oil on it before Smoking? That's the only thing I can think of you may have missed cool.gif .      roflmao.gif

Yup rubbed her down good with evoo and it was excellent even know I brought it up a extra five degrees out of precaution to 170 (more of a piece of mind) skin turned out great turkey was still nice and moist and best of all I'm still alive today haha 5amuhety.jpg
