Good Morning All,
Just created my account here after getting a Charbroil Smoker for Father's Day. It's not the best in the world but I figure it'll get me started. I like the modification thread, I will definitely try them, as well as the thermometer issue on it.
I live near St. Louis. I have loved barbecuing since I was a teenager, and hope to get good at smoking.
I like to make sauce with whatever I have lying around. Once I made a great sauce, sweet, smoky a little zing, that had a little burn down the throat just as you swallow. Like a fireworks ember has it drifts down to earth, then out. It was the BEST. Unfortunately I never measure, or even recall what I threw in it, so I have never been able to duplicate it.
Anyway, glad to be here and hope to learn and share with you all.
