I ordered what will be our first smoker just about an hour ago, and hope to see it next weekend. It's a Masterbuilt 40" gas smoker. I read a bunch of reviews, and overall it seemed to be rated pretty well for it's price and ease of use. I also read up on some of it's issues, and will go out to buy a door gasket and a new stainless pan. I already have a cast iron skillet for the chips. Hopefully, that will get me to the point where I can at least make it heat up. I'll be begging for advice, recipes, and God knows what before it''s over. Living in the north, it's nearly impossible to get a good BBQ anything, and I do love good BBQ, so it looks like it's up to me! Looking forward to any help and advice as I learn.
