Hey all! I've always enjoyed cooking. Cast iron skillets, dutch ovens, grilling, and now smoking. I love to eat, and being self sufficient, cooking for the family was the obvious step. Have had a char griller grill for years and just added a side smoker box a few weeks ago. Watched a lot of Youtube videos and got good advice from friends. Looking forward to learning more from the site. I like to keep things simple and say cooking is more art than science with a lot of common sense.

Think I figured it out:) . Here is the Fathers Day Meal I smoked. Baby backs, beef brisket, salmon, beans. Turned out great! The more I smoke the more encouraged I get. Mmmmmmm, mmmmm!!!!!

You didn't do that....just part of the un-written rules around here.  Just don't want you to get a thread edited and wonder why in the future.  That is part of my "Welcome" to everyone when they join.

Here's my maiden voyage. Spare ribs, beans, bread. Low and slow is hard to screw up. CN't wait to try some of the recipes I've seen on the site.

Here's the smoke ring from them baby backs! Man they were good. Just had some of those smokey baked beans with some chicken tonight. I think they were better tonight!
