Inside was already all metal, Steve. Didn't have to gut it. Ya those are oven racks. I cut them down and welded them back together. I have 2 more to do just for spares...
 
Hey Dave, you were right about the condensation. I didn't have a problem in warmer weather, but just the other day I did when I smoked some cheese. I took a paper towel to the cheese, and it tastes fine. I'll either put a top rack in it so I can place a pan there, or shorten the stack. Really hate to remove it all together because, well, I just like the looks of it, lol....

Bill, morning....  A drip catch pan will work....   If it has enough smoke condensate in it, you can make your own "liquid smoke" to add to stuff....  "BILLS HOMEMADE LIQUID SMOKE".....

Has a nice "ring" to it.....
