So my buddy just bought a bunch of stuff from an old man getting out of deer processing and asked me if I wanted a meat slicer. Gave him $200 for it, not sure if I got a good deal or not. It's an old globe gravity feed. Needs some major cleaning but I've read lots on here from you guys on the proper ways. Seems to work good. Has the built in sharpener but I think the stones might need to be replaced. When I dress the blade it only contacts about a quarter inch on each side, is this normal? Found stones on ebay from $11 to $30 so prolly worth getting them regardless.
