After lurking quite a bit, I figured I'd make an account.

My husband and I recently located to Texas after his completion of time with the Army in Germany, and we're really enjoying the lifestyle here (we are both from California). I whined enough and we bought a smoker instead of a separate charcoal/gas grill, but *someone* decided he had to smoke the first brisket... :D

Anyway, I tinkered with making my own apple wine and sauerkraut in the Fatherland, am currently attempting my hand at growing green things that produce stuff I find in grocery stores, and hoping one day to make the perfect brisket like Triple J's Smokehouse. (Or feel free to recommend an awesome BBQ in the Houston area.)
