Been awhile since I posted. Lurking a lot and thought I'd share today's cook.

Made a few mods to my Char-Griller and decided to use a couple a heavy-duty cookie sheets to even out the temps today. Worked like a charm.

Did some baby backs and a small shoulder for good measure over apple and cherry.

Usually use lump but used brickettes today and they seemed to last longer.

Used 2-2-1 method (roughly) for the ribs and finished the shoulder in the oven.

Largest smoke ring ever on the ribs (maybe too much?) but they were tasty and tender.

Here are some pics:

On they go

Putting my FIL's apple tree to good use.

Why a better thermometer is so important. (Stuck the probe through a chunk of potato at grill level for better read)

Ready to serve. Also did some chicken breast for the non-pork fans.

Check out that smoke ring! Thanks for looking.

Failed to mention the Mediterranean potato salad, deviled eggs and strawberry rhubarb crisp for dessert made by my wife and daughter that were equally fantastic!
