The wife brought home some ribeyes. I think I'll keep her :)

She walked in the door looking like the cat that ate the canary. "The butcher said these should be pretty good" she tells me. "He said they'd be better than round steaks."

I may have to buy him a bottle of Scotch.

Seasoned with Kosher salt and cracked black pepper.

Onto the Smokey Joe for 3 minutes per side. Most of the pepper fell off on the trip over to the park. Flavor was there though.

Nice sear on them.

Sauteed Zucchini, squash and onions seasoned with Thyme.

My kinda meal.

I nearly cried when this was all that was left.

Thanks for looking!!

Man that looks outstanding...Nicely done!  I reverse seared some ribeys myself last night, but now I can't seem to get the d#m* photo upload software to work.

I think I need tech support....

Thanks Red! I thought about reverse searing them, but the clouds were threatening and I wanted to get them done as quickly as possible.

Reminded me of an old "Tim, 'The Toolman' Taylor" show where they built the MAN's kitchen and flame kisted the ribeyes!

What is it about red meat and open flames we all love so much? A good butcher is a good friend.

Man does that look good.

Thanks Dirtsailor and Alesia!

Couple things I noticed. I forgot to mention that there were also Portabella mushroom slices in the veggies, and I realized I mixed up the steak pics. The first 2 are actually different steaks from earlier in the week which had more pepper. I was looking at them when I was posting and trying to figure out what happened to all the pepper and I finally realized what I'd done. I guess I need to start organizing all the food pics better! Oh well, they're the same steaks, just the first 2 from the package of 4 my wife brought home. They were cooked under the broiler in the kitchen.
