Hello from Clearwater, Florida

Thread Starter

Bradley original + Auber PID + the rolling cart from Sam's recommended by a few folks on this forum; all sitting in the living room with a sacrificial 15lb turkey in the fridge.

Now I'm watching the clock and waiting on Fedex to drop off some bisquettes so I can start the magic.

The wait is killing me.

Congratulations!  and Welcome to the Forums!  Glad to have you here.  I'm sure a couple of the moderators will be a long soon to OFFICIALLY welcome you to the addiction.  In the mean time, if you haven't already, you might want to sign up for Jeff's E-course. Also, if you would please edit your profile to include Clearwater, FL as your location.  It will be helpful to the other forum members later on.  Once again, Welcome!

Thank you for the warm reception.

@ aeroforce100 - Ok, profile updated with city/state info.

@ SmokinHusker - My wife insisted that I roll the smoker out onto the back porch. Must be a woman thing biggrin.gif

@ JckDanls 07 - This particular turkey was 'enhanced' at the processing plant. After some heavy consideration I've deceived not to brine it. I plan to spend more time sourcing the next turkey and next time will give the bird a brine bath. Lots of things to still consider and play with... Which brine, what smoke profile, Bag and Hang? Vertical turkey roaster? disposable aluminum pan? So very many options...
