New to smoking and new to Gainesville, Florida. Just moved down here a few months ago, went to a barbecue at my bosses house and used his smoker to make some of the best ribs I've ever had; bought one the next day.

Running a Smoke Hollow electric smoker. Bought electric for convenience and it's a lot cheaper to operate but I'm already having a little buyers remorse in not going propane or maybe even charcoal. Still renting a house keeps me from going large scale, So I'll have to tinker with the small electric one for a while to hone my skills.

I like the forum too, good recipes and solid advice especially for a rookie. I look forward to eating all the foods I shouldn't be eating.

I'm looking to get into some pig and deer hunting down here, anyone have some great venison or hog recipes or tips in the smoker?

Thanks

-Jimbo
