Hi All,

My name is Jeff and I am not only new to the forum, but pretty new to smoking in general. I have dabbled in it over the years with a charcoal smoker, but never really had (or took) the time to learn it. I have just purchased a new 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker and am ready to learn and experiment. I've always wanted to make a killer smoked brisket...just to name one of my goals.

I am currently transitioning from Wisconsin to the Tucson Arizona area which is where my smoker is living. I'm enjoying this forum and in fact have already recieved answers to a few "beginner" questions I had. I'll look forward to participating and from what I've seen, learn a lot from the group.

Great to be here!

Welcome , Jeff. to the forum Family.

You are about to embark on a lifetime journey of deliciousness. BBQ is the best way to eat I have found (but then I was raised on it) and try to gather anything I can to do :

one my favorite things in life is a full Smokerdrool.gif . I would like to invite you to send Q-view of your exploits and the folks enjoying it...

Our site will have you up and running in no time. Don't be intimidated ,it's all good, even mistakes - make something else of the goof-ups... like  overcooked Ribs , make baked Beans ...

Whatever you do, have fun and as always . . .

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums.

Sometimes as a newbie...loading the q-view can be a bit tricky until you gt the hang of it! This might help you with uploading photos to your post if you ever have troubles.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

I've heard comments about using Qview....I think I know what it is, but how do I access and use it to post my exploits? I seasoned my new smoker yesterday and today I'm trying a couple beef jerky recipes just for fun. So far so good...Thanks.

Q-views are pictures of your smokes (BBQ pictures) so we call all drool on the keyboards.  And if you have any questions about showing an issue makes us able to help you better.

Here is a link on a "how to" that may help a bit more.
